One of the things I notice with resumes are previous jobs that have no relation to the current position the person is trying to get.
If you are looking for a .Net position, I don't need to know that you were a pizza delivery driver. I understand that you had to work through school, but to be honest I do not think it will help too much. I can't say I wasn't a victim of this... My resume had that I was a waiter while in school... Thinking it would show I was able to talk with others and that I have good communication skills. I now know that me being a Server probably didn't wow any companies.
Another thing I have noticed is a lot of programmer put which video games they are good at on their resume...
I understand.. I like playing video games.. (check me on NHL 2012 @ RNPATTY) but you wont see this in my resume "VB.Net, Level 15 on NHL online, SQL Server"
